Kubrick has been named the fastest growing consultancy in Europe, and the 20th fastest growing company overall, in the coveted Financial Times 1000. The announcement comes after Kubrick was recognised as the second fastest growing private company in the UK in the Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100 at the end of 2020.

We are incredibly proud to be recognized in the top 20 fastest-growing businesses in Europe as a reflection on the relevance and value of our mission to shape tomorrow’s world by developing today’s talent. It is a testament to the incredible skill and hard work of our incredible consultants, who are helping organizations to transform with longevity, whether supporting their long-term talent pipeline or providing sustainable solutions for short-term challenges. Moreover, it is proof of the practical success of our methodology for building the future workforce: harnessing the knowledge and experience of industry leaders to train the next generation of technology champions has created an unrivalled program which benefits both our smart, ambitious consultants and the businesses they impact.

In their initial analysis of the rankings[1], the Financial Times noted the increased presence of technology companies since last year, jumping from 189 to 219 businesses listed, making the sector most prevalent in the table. When including the fintech and ecommerce sectors under the same umbrella, the total becomes a staggering 290 businesses. Kubrick tops a group of 51 consultancies featured in the research, while London, the home of Kubrick, is once again the epicentre of fast-growth businesses in Europe.

Tim Smeaton, Managing Partner of Kubrick
, reflects on the findings of the Financial Times and their focus on the technology sector in this year’s list:

“The extent of investment and opportunity within the tech space, as demonstrated in the FT 1000, is a strong indicator of the advancement of technology and its importance in daily life. However, it is also a big, red arrow pointing at the skills emergency that we are facing in Europe and around the world: we simply don’t have a workforce who are adequately trained to handle this technology as it begins to permeate all business functions. Kubrick sits at the intersection of people and next-generation technology, with the purpose of unleashing the potential in both. To address this accelerating skills gap, we cultivate bright, young minds to master these tools and technologies with a focus on their application within the business world, so as to ensure our future workforce are prepared to take on this rapidly changing environment that we find ourselves in.”

Simon Walker, Managing Partner, considers the coming year for Kubrick:

“This award is a direct result of the ongoing and increasing demand for our consultants from businesses across all industries. We now support nearly 100 renowned organizations with a range of technology challenges and will expand both our client base and our capabilities throughout 2021 and beyond.”
