Ram joined Kubrick in August 2021 in order to pursue his passion for teaching and mentoring. As a Principal Consultant, he helps keep Kubrick at the cutting-edge of machine learning and AI technology with research and development for our programs and our clients’ needs, all the while making a positive impact on the professional careers of our consultants.
Prior to joining Kubrick, Ram worked as a Principal Research Scientist leading the Computer Vision team at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence Laboratories. There, he managed and delivered multiple R&D projects for key clients in the UK Defence and Security sector. He also worked as an AI/ML researcher for several years at the two premier universities in Northern Ireland, Queen's University Belfast and Ulster University. Ram possesses a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, a master’s degree in Computer and Electronic Security, and a PhD from Queen's University Belfast for his research on probabilistic modelling of image pixel distributions in video sequences.
Ram has observed and been a part of numerous significant advances in the field of Artificial Intelligence and machine learning in the last decade and is a firm believer in the exciting possibilities which will be unlocked for a range of applications in the next 10 years. He views Kubrick’s unique model as key to giving today’s junior professionals the valuable technical and soft skills they need to succeed, which would otherwise take years to acquire, putting them in an advantageous position compared to other consultants and allowing them to be more productive on our client projects.
