Gareth first joined Kubrick as a Data Engineer in 2019, and became an Associate Principal in 2022 to combine is passion for teaching with the technical skill and experience he acquired on client projects.
After completing his training, he worked on client projects including building data hubs and making a data reconciliation web app within a world-leading pharmaceuticals company. Prior to Kubrick, Gareth taught Physics at a top secondary school in Brighton, UK, having graduated with a BSc in Physics from the University of Bristol in 2017.
Despite enjoying his brief teaching career, Gareth wanted to get directly hands on with problems in industry with a wider social impact. A career in data sounded attractive as he saw the potential data had (when used wisely) to be used to solve some of the world’s biggest problems. After refining his skill set on client engagements, he joined the training team as an Associate Principal. The Associate Principal role offered him a unique opportunity to combine his
passion for his teaching and communicating, while still improving his knowledge base and growing and advancing his technical skills and specialisms.
Gareth is one of the first members of Kubrick’s training team to join the New York office in order to teach the next generation of US-based Kubrick consultants. He is excited to seize the opportunity to jump into a culture and accelerate his career and development, helping to lay the path for the first steps of the Kubrick journey in America.
