As a data engineer, your role is instrumental in enabling data-driven decision-making, driving innovation, and unlocking the full potential of data within organizations. You'll be responsible for designing, constructing, and maintaining the infrastructure and systems that enable the collection, storage, processing, and analysis of large volumes of data.
Maintaining data quality and best practice
In addition to managing data infrastructure, you'll focus on data quality, ensuring that data is accurate, complete, and consistent. You'll collaborate with data governance and quality assurance teams to establish and enforce data quality standards and best practices.
As a data engineering consultant, you'll tackle a variety of projects tailored to meet the unique needs of different clients.
Some examples of projects you might work on include:
- Designing and implementing data architectures that align with clients' business objectives and technical requirements.
- Implementing processes and tools to assess and improve the quality of clients' data.
- Building ETL pipelines to extract data from various sources, transform it into a usable format, and load it into a centralized data repository.
- Building real-time data processing solutions to enable clients to analyze and act on data in near real-time.
- Building data analytics and reporting solutions to enable clients to derive insights from their data.

Entry requirements
Here's a breakdown of what you will need to join our data engineering practice:
- 2.1 degree minimum
- Flexible on location as our consultants often work across the UK.
- Eligible to work in the UK without the need for Kubrick sponsorship before the commencement of employment
No relevant skills or experience in data or technology is required to join our Data Product practice as we’ll introduce you to everything you need to know during the four months of training and continue developing you throughout the program. However, we are unable to accept candidates with computer science or core data degrees as this program is designed to be additive to the market.
