We are thrilled to announce that we have completed our first full week of our first internship scheme at Kubrick in the UK. We have 10 interns who have joined us from 10,000 Black Interns for 6 weeks over the summer, all of whom are excited to be here and looking forward to learning a new set of skills.

10,00 Black Interns creates opportunities for underrepresented talent in partnership with multinational corporations, professional firms, ambitious startups, and public bodies.

“We are really excited to launch our first ever intern programme, in collaboration with 10,000 Black interns. At Kubrick we accelerate people's careers in next generation technology and our interns will get 6 weeks of paid intensive skill building, learning from our technical experts. Our 10 interns are all exceptional and we have a brilliant programme planned for them. We are passionate about equity of opportunity, and we know that Black talent is under represented at Kubrick, so the intern programme is one of the actions that we taking to address this.” @Linda McDonald, HR Director at Kubrick Group,

“Kubrick's business model already supports graduate career acceleration and launching the internship programme in partnership with 10,000 Black Interns gives us another opportunity to contribute further to early careers development whilst upholding our strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. The market for graduate and intern roles is highly competitive therefore I'm so glad we're offering this programme to support our intern's career development, giving them a flavour of how businesses operate and the world of work” Maddy Wright, HR Business Partner at Kubrick Group.

Over the upcoming weeks the programme planned for the interns will ensure they're getting the most out of their time at Kubrick and get a real insight into what we do at and how a fast-growing business operates efficiently.

Our 10 interns will be split between 2 programmes, one is closely aligned with our Data Product stream, and one within the HR function. There will be meetings with different teams across the business to get a better understanding of what they do, and our interns will work collaboratively on various projects which will be presented back to key stakeholders in their final week with us. We'll also run some sessions on important skills for work to support their personal and professional development, which will help set them up for success as they embark on their career journey.

Head of Data Product, Chris Onowu said “We are delighted to introduce our talented cohort of interns, embarking on an enriching journey in Data Product Development at Kubrick Group. As advocates of fostering growth and innovation, we have curated a hands-on experience for our interns to delve into IT infrastructure, MS Excel, Business Process Modelling, Power Apps, Agile methodologies, and Stakeholder Engagement. Through this immersive program, they will gain practical expertise, working on real projects under the guidance of seasoned mentors. We are excited to witness their transformation and witness the impact they will make in the world of data-driven solutions!”

Lastly, Dana James-Edwards, Kubrick's Head of Diversity and Inclusion noted “I am thrilled that Kubrick is working in partnership with 10000 Black interns which is an amazing initiative geared at helping overcome the historical legacy of discrimination, underinvestment and underrepresentation that disadvantages members of the Black community. The interns we are welcoming this summer for paid internships through this partnership, are all incredibly talented and highly qualified students from across the globe, who will gain invaluable corporate experience and exposure and will have the opportunity to contribute to exciting and impactful projects. I am pleased to welcome them and excited about the value they will bring to Kubrick.”

We are excited for the upcoming weeks and look forward to seeing the impact these interns have at Kubrick.
