Mirela joined Kubrick in 2019 as a Data Engineer after graduating with a MSc in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences. After completing her training and a 2-year development period onsite with a major financial institution, she joined the Training and Development team in March 2022.
As an Associate Principal, Mirela trains and shares her expertise in Data Science with new consultants and further develop her technical skillset in Machine Learning and AI. Mirela’s appreciation for technology stems from her capacity as an econometrician as well as her passion for driving a business narrative using data.
Mirela’s passion for data is intertwined with her deep interest in Mathematics from an early age. Her academic background predetermined her ambition to explore the applications of working with data in business. Mirela is particularly inspired by the synergies between theoretical models and technology in the fields of Financial and Industrial Economics. Her awareness of the business challenges caused by the fast-paced growth of technology and competition drives her keen interest in research on ML and AI for the purpose of strategic optimisation.
Mirela is an advocate of diversity in technology and strongly believes in the transformative impact of a transparent, inclusive, and supportive working environment on young professionals and businesses. She is proud to be guiding our consultants in their first steps in technology, showcasing the power of data and the skillset they need for both their personal and professional growth.
