Andrew joined Kubrick to train as Data Engineer in April 2018, working with clients in a wide range of industries, including financial services, insurance, travel, and consumer foods and services. He became an Associate Principal in January 2022 to utilise his experience and technical knowledge to shape and transform Kubrick’s training capabilities.
Andrew has a MSci in Environmental Geophysics from the University of East Anglia, which introduced him to the utility of data in the field of scientific research. After graduating, he worked at the university's Business Intelligence Unit, building Tableau reports to help gain insights from the university's data. Having fostered a passion for data to understand the world around him, he found the opportunity to train with Kubrick in the latest technology and use it to solve meaningful problems. As a Kubrick Advanced consultant, Andy completed engagements in 5 client organisations, further developing his technical skills and leadership.
Working at the cutting-edge of development, Andrew is fascinated by the current acceleration of advancement which has followed centuries of technological and scientific research. He is witness to the possibilities unlocked with computing and automation to perform analysis which would have not existed just a generation ago. He is especially interested in the creative AI research that is rapidly speeding up scientific research, such as DeepMind's protein structure program AlphaFold, and is excited to be implementing the latest features of technology into his work.
Working at Kubrick is great; it has been a privilege to see this energetic, intelligent, and friendly group of people continue grow since I joined in 2018.Andrew Keel, Associate Principal
