David joined Kubrick in January 2019 to expand our capabilities and expertise in Data Engineering. He combines his expert knowledge and ability with a business-focused approach which has earned him accolades including the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Award in 5 consecutive years, from 2004 through to 2008.
David has over 28 years of experience of delivering management information solutions and leading engineering teams in a wide range of software and data management projects, including 8 years at major banking and financial services. Other industry experience includes retail, healthcare, automotive, and entertainment. He is a Certified ScrumMaster with a technical focus on Spark, Hadoop, Oracle, SQL Server, and Kafka. His specialist expertise lies within analytical and streaming data projects, temporal data management, enterprise data integration, and agile coaching.
As the Head of Data Engineering, David has refined and delivered Kubrick’s specialist training programmes to hundreds of bright and ambitious young professionals. His interest in the expansion of cloud platforms and the possibilities they unlock for innovation is a driving force in Kubrick expansion and development of our training capabilities inline with the needs of our clients.
